Best Ski Stops to hit up with your Bestie for Brews!

If you are looking to get away for some R&R in this new year, read on for all the great places to enjoy your next ski-cation out west with your besties.

If your friends are anything like my friends, we are less concerned about hitting the slopes and more concerned about the aprés-ski activities. Ollie and his friends have sniffed out their favorite places for brewskis (and a treat or two) at some of the BEST mountain towns out west. Here’s to more double diamond runs, followed by double pours! CHEERS!

Sun Valley, Idaho: Pioneer Saloon

320 N Main St Ketchum, ID

Go ahead and get your spud and brew on at The Pioneer Saloon. This is the place where you can sit down and have amazing local Idaho beer like the River Bend Pale Ale (one of my favorite beers of all times) on draught. This is also where you eat the Mack Daddy of all potatoes called the Jim Spud..the biggest Idaho baked potato you’ve ever seen. Served split open, and jam-packed with grilled onions, molten cheese, and if you dare, teriyaki prime rib. Try to consume the entire potato and you will be needing those buffet stretchy pants on for the rest of the night.

Idaho is certainly famous for its potatoes, and at The Pioneer Saloon you will find out why.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming: Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

25 N Cache St. Jackson, WY 83001

Nothing makes you feel like you have landed in the heart of Wyoming like apré-ing at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. This authentic Wild West experience will quickly become your favorite watering hole after a day on the slopes. In existence since 1937 and located in the heart of Jackson Town Square, this nightlife staple serves up some of the best local brews including the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar Beer (when in Rome….).

So mosey on up to the bar and sit on one of the genuine saddle barstools for a cold one and finish the night off with some great cowboy swing dancing! If you are lucky, you may even spot some world-renowned musicians gracing the live music stage.

Big Sky, Montana: Riverhouse BBQ

45130 Gallatin Rd. Gallatin Gateway, MT 59730

This little piece of magic is hard to beat for food, beer, fun and friends. Situated on the Gallatin River, the entire bar overlooks the river and Spanish Peaks Mountain.  This is a DO NOT MISS destination after a day on the slopes. Make sure you try some of the best local brews from Beehive Beer or Lone Peaks while swapping stories with the locals. It doesn’t matter if you are fresh off the slopes or fresh off a long road trip this “come as you are” bar is so laid back you can put your feet up on the back porch, let your hair down and enjoy the views.
